Part I HISTORY

REVIVAL FIRE
One narrator of Christian biography has termed Charles G. Finneyýfs memoirs ýgperhaps the most remarkable account of the manifestations of the Holy Spiritýfs power since apostolic days. It is crowded with accounts of spiritual outpourings which remind one of the Day of Pentecost.ýh One of Finneyýfs closest friends, who was also his stenographer for some years, said of Finney, ýgThe intensity and constancy of his ardour were surprising. The sacred fire seemed never to burn low.ýh

By 1832 Finneyýfs revival movement had added several hundred thousand to the churches. His campaign in Rochester, New York, in 1842 seemed to prepare the way for the extensive revival of 1843-44.

The revivals of Finneyýfs earlier ministry tended to occur in small-town churches and then spread to other nearby towns. Later in life, Finney directed his ministry to city churches or tabernacles. These revivals spread and blessed churches nearby and throughout the city. Almost always the revivals that began in a local church soon became community wide and brought in many invitations from nearby places.

In August 1825, Finney journeyed to Oneida County in central New York. He preached at Western on a Thursday night, and the Lord brought some church leaders there to brokenness and repentance. God gave a prayer burden to Finney on Friday, and on Sunday, God came in power at the church services. Revival had begun, and Finney prevailed in prayer and spoke in several parts of the town.

FINNEYýfS VISION OF CHRIST

In the summer of 1826, Finney was invited to Auburn, New York. Some of the professors at the Auburn seminary were opposed to the revival and to his preaching since he had not been theologically trained. God gave Finney a vision, showing him that he would face opposition from the church but assuring him that God would triumph.

In this vision Christ drew so near to Finney while he was praying that his whole body trembled from head to foot. Finney had never been so awed and humbled before God. ýgInstead of feeling like fleeing, I seemed drawn nearer and nearer to God − seemed to draw nearer and nearer to that Presence that filled me with such unutterable awe and trembling.ýh Then God lifted Finney up and assured him that He would be with him and no opposition would prevail against him.

Finney felt he must leave everything to God. God helped him become perfectly trustful, perfectly calm, and to have nothing but the most perfectly kindly feelings toward all the brethren that were misled and were arraying themselves against him.

The Finneys were invited to Wilmington, Delaware, and arrived in December 1827. God sent revival blessings, and soon Finney began to commute two days each week to Philadelphia, forty miles away by riverboat. In 1828 he moved to Philadelphia and preached first in all of the churches. Then as crowds became too large, he held his meetings in the largest church in the city, which seated about three thousand. For about one year he preached in Philadelphia and experienced continual blessings.

In the spring of 1828 the revival spread from Philadelphia up the Delaware River toward northern Pennsylvania.

PART II ALL REVIVALS BEGAN WITH PRAYER

PRAYER WARRIORS

A tremendous spirit of prayer pervaded the city. A minister, deeply convicted of his own sin, wept aloud as he walked down the street. This man was powerfully converted and became a prayer partner with Finney during these meetings. God gave the minister great faith that a mighty revival would take place. Other people slipped away from the services in order to pray.

Some of the Rochester Christians wrote letters to their friends in several other states, telling how God was mightily working in the revival. God used these testimonies to bring revivals to these other places.

While continuing to lead the Rochester revival, Finney traveled briefly to surrounding towns. ýgWherever I went the Word of God took immediate effect; and it seemed only necessary to present the law of God and the claims of Christ in such relations and proportions as were calculated to secure the conversion of men, and they would be converted by scores.ýh

PART III HISTORY OF REVIVAL PROVES IT TAKES MORE THAN ONE MAN OR TWO

PERSONAL EVANGELISM TEAMS

Finney preached every evening for twenty days, and revival began immediately. Over five hundred were converted. Finney was too weak to continue to preach very night. There were so many converts that they started a daughter church. Finney taught his members to go two by two in bold personal evangelism. They traveled from house to house and waited at the entrances to theaters and drinking places to invite people to the services. Some members even picked up drunkards, took them to church, won them to Christ, and then returned them home sober and saved to the astonishment of their families.

NOTE: "Some members" picked up people who were lost and won them to Christ - Today winning the lost is not just in a church - going into the highways & byways is where the sinners are...

Believers from todays churches need to go into these places and win the lost to Jesus Christ...

Next they need to bring them to a good Full Gospel Holy Ghost On Fire Church...

A church that will not be ashamed of the Holy Spirit and the FIRE of God in their church services with signs & wonders following...

Churches that will not sing "one him & one her" pat you on the back and say, "See you next week"...

While Finney was returning from his six-month sea voyage to regain his health, God gave him a day on the ship of tremendous blessing, renewal, and guidance.

Pastors ANS ALL GOD'S CHILDREN need to be full of Holy Spirit's Fire & need to have an awesome Love for Jesus AS ALL LIVE lives pleasing to God as His Word tells ALL to be doing if they live in obedience to God and are HOLY MEN & WOMEN OF GOD...

LEADERS & all God's people must hear the Voice of God and this happens as one SPENDS TIME WITH GOD & become more & more anointed to hear what the Spirit of God is saying...

A real need in the Church are ANOINTED LEADERS WHO will change their plan(s) for the church and obey Holy Spirits...

Those who will allow the FIRE OF GOD in church services of theirs for the people who need change in their lives to get "Set-free" and get the BOLDNESS OF JESUS AND GO WIN THE LOSTare those called, "The called of God's"...

Finney spent most of one day in agonizing prayer, kneeling in a stateroom and walking the decks. He was so crushed by his prayer burden that he wrung his hands in agony. Finney had often experienced prayer burden but never so intense and so prolonged as on this day.

Upon Finneyýfs arrival back in New York, the editor of a faltering publication, ýgThe Evangelist,ýh asked Finney to write a series of articles on revival. Finney prayed for a day or two and then promised to give a series of lectures on revival once a week. The editor was free to send a reporter to observe and write the articles. The lectures were reported in somewhat condensed form and later published in a book, Finneyýfs Lectures on Revivals.

Finneyýfs book Lectures on Revivals was born out of fasting, prayer, and his own rich experiences in revival ministry. The book influenced more Christians to pray for revival and expect spiritual outpourings than any book ever written.

Aointed children of God's hear Holy Spirit and see Jesus' heart longing for the LOST TO BE FOUND and come to Him...

These saints have a Fire of God in them to ACT on what they hear from the Lord so America (The Nations) will be SAVED and the man (below) did just that...

In the year 2000 I longed for souls to be saved and to see UNITY IN THE CHURCH and PRAYER for Revival (A great Awakening) in America...

The Ramada Hotel near us had rooms one could rent for an hour or more so I rented a meeting room once a week for people from the churches in my area to come to pray for revival...

After some months I became discouraged because no one came each week nor did they say they were praying at home with us in UNITY for Revival www.jawministries.com 'MISSIONS PAGE" has this hearts desire of mine since my website came on the internet in the year 2000...

UNITY & AWAKENING IN AMERICA BURNED IN MY HEART but it seemed I was a freak for my passion to please Jesus and pray so souls would be saved and a revival come to our nation so I gave up on the meetings - people did not get it then but I am glad today it is begining after some years of prayer to come to this place today...

No one encouraged me to keep on with the meetings and the devil did all he could to discourage me...

But that fire never went away and I had to guard my heart to not judge others for not wanting revival as I did do till this day....

I am in it today and will share more later - please read on and I pray you catch the Fire of God as you continue reading the history of the previous revivals.

A quiet, zealous forty-six-year-old businessman in New York was appointed on July 1, 1857, as a missionary in downtown New York at the Dutch Church. Jeremiah Lamphier had been converted in 1842 in Broadway Tabernacle, Finneyýfs church that was built in 1836.

Lamphier felt led by God to start a noon-time weekly prayer meeting in which business people could meet for prayer. Anyone could attend, for a few minutes or for the entire hour.

Newspapers began to report on the meetings and the unusual spirit of prayer that was evident. Within three months similar meetings had sprung up across America.

Soon there were 150 united prayer meetings each day across Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Meetings began in February in Philadelphia. Soon Jayneýfs Hall was overfilled, and meetings were held at noon each day in public halls, concert halls, fire stations, houses, and tents. The whole city exuded a spirit of prayer.

America had entered a new period of faith and prayer. Educated and uneducated, rich and poor, business leaders and common workmen ýý all prayed, believed, and received answers to prayer. Even the president of the United States, Franklin Pierce, attended many of the noon prayer meetings. This was not a revival of powerful preaching. This was a movement of earnest, powerful, prevailing prayer.

Among the daily prayer meetings reported were: 150 towns in Massachusetts, 200 in New York, 60 in New Jersey, 65 in Pennsylvania, 200 in Ohio, 150 in Indiana, 150 in Illinois, 50 in Missouri, and 60 in Iowa. Of the thirty million people living in the United States, nearly two million were won to Christ during the revival. The moral change was so great across the country that the Louisville, Kentucky, daily paper reported that the millennium had arrived.

REVIVAL UNITY

The fourth great awakening was above all a revival of unity. Denominational backgrounds were forgotten. The first united prayer meeting in Kalamazoo, Michigan, saw people from five different denominations present. Four or five were saved that very first hour. Before the revival was over, there were nearly five hundred conversions in Kalamazoo.

IN HOMES, SHOPS, FIELDS, AND CHURCHES

Reports came in of hundreds being converted in prayer meetings, private homes, workshops, and fields. Often the doors of businesses held signs reading, ýgClosed. Will reopen at the close of the prayer meeting.ýh Five prayer meetings took place daily in Washington, D. C. Five thousand or so attended daily services in the Academy of Music Hall.

With the Fire of God in me for Unity of the Brethren, revival (Awakening of souls in churches who are bored or just plain religious in dead churches that do not have the Fire of God - only man made points they want to make a sermon from) - I left a church that was as I've described here and went all over seeking the place God was moving on me to find where the Fire of God with Signs & Wonders following AND REVIVAL & SOULS SAVED was normal and I found it...

I was only there for 8 months when I knew I must go to the bible school they wanted persons who came to their church to go to for infilling of God's Word and the Fire of God...

This was what the pastors hoped folks would do so all at this place would be in UNITYwith the BRETHREN and the Pastors...

The pastors and much of the brethren were full of Holy Ghost & Fire with the Joy of the Lord evidence with signs & wonders happening there...

AT LAST I FOUND my ON FIRE ANOINTED PASTORS WHO LOVED JESUS CHRIST AND GAVE THEIR ALL FOR GOD - THEIR LOVE POURED OUT TO all of us who could receive...

Wounded people who came to visit and found Jesus as Savior at a church service would often say to me "I have never seen such love in a church" - This day that I'm writing to you a young woman I prayed with for salvation said the same words to me again.

When I began at this church the end of 2002 and went to the Bible School in 2003 I was in class one evening when the dean's asked if anyone in our class felt they were a leader and if so to please join them in the meeting room while the rest of the class continued...

The meeting with the deans was about soul winning and about what kind of suggestions did the class who came in to the meeting have to go win souls on that following saturday...

Many at this meeting gave ideas to win souls in malls, gas stations, restaurants Etc. - No one mentioned the retirement homes and since I had done this ministry with retirement homes winning many souls in these facilities in Texas before moving to Florida, I raised my hand and gave my suggestion...

The dean's said I should find where to go to retirement homes and that following saturday I came with five places all set to receive us that morning to do visits and pray for residents...

That was the begining of an AWAKENING in the retirement homes in many cities in the Tampa Bay area here in Florida with as many as 1,500 saved in one Saturday with teams I set up to go to many retirement homes...

This ministry has now gone all over America where my pastors Great Awakening Tour of America has taken teams of students and church members who go JUST TO WIN SOULSS - not only in retirement homes but on buses, train stations, airports, stores, malls, restaurants, bars, skidrow type places, poor areas of the cities Etc. Etc. - And this has happened for the past two years full time of the going and sharing the gospel at my church...

We've gone to Europe and many nations and the signs and wonders of the church brethren and our church bible school students - even six and seven year old children praying have had blind eyes opened, heart surgeries avoided with hearts that were healed, wheel chairs emptied Etc. AND THIS GOES ON DAILY...

RECENTLY my pastors spent 50 days in South Aftica where 270 cities caught the fire FOR A MIGHTY AWAKENING IN SOUTH AFRICA WITH THE PEOPLE GOING AND TELLING OTHER SINNERS HOW TO BE SAVED as they went out to win souls EVERYWHERE IN THAT AREA OF SOUTH AFRICA...

Awesome fruit with miracle healing and the Joy of the Lord to a poor nation that is prospering beyond cities in America and they are the poorest of the poor - you would find it hard to believe all I could share of what blessings are there and what awesome REVIVAL AWAKENING IS STILL GOING ON THERE THAT BEGAN WITH ONE CHURCH AND DREW CITIES ALL OVER S. A. TO COME JOIN THEM as my pastors ministered with the Fire of God Awakening there...

For me this is a far cry from when I had to shut my meetings at the Ramada Hotel down in my city in the Tampa Bay area of Florida as no one could give a couple of hours to pray for revival in the year 2000 & 2001...

MILLIONS HAVE BEEN SAVED with untold healings and I ask you to give an hour a week to join me and Glory Brides Global in prayer every week on Wednesday at noon. Or when you can on Wednesday for AMERICA'S AWAKENING so souls will be saved before they die...

ONLY AN AMERICAN AWAKENING WILL HELP OUR NATION NOW AS WELL AS ALL THE NATIONS AS TIMES ARE HEADED WHERE HARDSHIPS ABOUND BUT WITH JESUS THE JOY OF HIM WILL SUSTAIN ONE...

Many are suffering with the change in the economy and so much more happening in America as of 2008-2009 - Our very freedom of speech & Constitution is now being slowely taken away from us...

Only God can help us now and even those in the Covenant of God who are new to finding Salvation in Jesus Christ of Nazareth as Savior in the current Awakening...

All I know about for sure is that it has begun from my church and I pray other churches (like I mentioned about mine above) do this or will do this soon also...

The fruit checkers I am writing to can go to check this fruit we gather that I've described in this letter at www.revival.com

This week my pastors were begining a new broadcast and the first month of 2010 they will have their own TV station and go all over the world with this Great Awakening Tour...

They are carrying the Love of Jesus and the Fire of God with the Joy of the Lord signs & wonders - setting captives free to go tell the gospel and gather the harvest with holy boldness...

REVIVAL IN THE ARMY

Because of the bitter tensions of the Civil War and the slavery issues, for a time it seemed that the southern states would not be as powerfully influenced by the revival as the northern ones had been. Others dispute this assumption. An unusually powerful revival broke out among the southern troops stationed around Richmond, Virginia, in the autumn of 1861. It began in the hospitals among the wounded men and then spread into the camps as these men returned to active duty. Prayer meetings were organized and hundreds converted. The movement spread rapidly throughout the army, reaching the troops of Tennessee and Arkansas.

The revival among the southern troops was primarily a revival of prayer, as the earlier revival in the North had been. While the best estimates are that 6.6 percent of the entire population of the United States was converted during the revival, the percentage among the southern troops was 21 percent.

God blessed America with sweeping revival in 1857. It was often called the revival of the United Prayer Meetings. When this news reached the British Isles, especially Northern Ireland, many ministers and deeply spiritual Christians felt renewed hunger and earnestness in prayer that God would move in Ireland in the same gracious way.

God is going to give America the GREATEST AWAKENING & THE LAST AWAKENING before the time of the Lord's return - as for me it has begun...

Last week my pastor spoke to me over the TV when he told me over 400,000 souls in retirement homes have been saved since they began the Great Awakening Tour of America in 2008 and he said they were souls counted to me...

I support my pastors and those going all over America and the Nations and know those souls won in the millions are also counted to me since I am a full time care giver for my elderly husband and unable to 'go tell' as I have in the past - But every time I'm out of the house I win neighbors and folks in stores as I get supplies for our home Etc. - I live to win souls to Jesus for I've seen his aching heart for the lost that no one goes to tell how to find Him...

Greatful to God for the ministry I get to do Sundays at my church with newly saved people...
