Be a voice for life
Sunday, January 21, 2007
Beloved of the Lord: Life is a precious gift from God and no one has the right to take that life away. Especially , when it is a child in the womb who was formed in the likeness of God and who alone receives the breath to breathe upon that childs birth from God.
NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO DESTROY LIFE IN THE WOMB AND WE NEED TO FIGHT FOR THE UNBORN WHO IS HELPLESS WITHOUT OUR INTERVENTION IN PRAYER, LETTERS/CALLS TO OUR GOVERNMENT LEADERSHIP AND EVEN PROTEST WALKS TO SAY:
"PLEASE STOP ABORTION IN AMERICA"! FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS! Please read the below.
Thank you and God Bless America!

SANCTITY OF LIFE SUNDAY
BE A VOICE FOR LIFE
ıNow choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him.ı (Deut. 30:19-20)
On January 22, 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 7- 2 in support of abortion. Roe v. Wade, that gave women the "right to choose," changed the course of American history. For some, when the anniversary of that day comes, there is a celebration in their heart. However, for those who cherish life, we look at that day as a tragedy, as we turn even harder to building a culture of life. Many pastors around the nation see the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, as the day to focus on the sanctity, the very preciousness, of life. This day is known nationally as Sanctity of Life Sunday; and since its first Presidential Proclamation in 1984, the pro-life movement has energized the hearts of millions.
Godıs truth can lift the moral fog throughout the Church, and lifting the fog is essential in overcoming legalized abortion. Christians, if they speak with one voice, really do have the political power to rid our nation of legalized abortion.
Excerpted from Sanctity of Life Resource Packet, Abortion Essay
Diligent daily prayer for a return to an awareness of the sanctity of life needs to explode across the United States and the world.
FACTS OF LIFE
(1) A conservative estimate of the number of abortions in the United States using figures from the Alan Guttmacher Institute from 1973 to 2006 (1996- 2006 were estimated) is 47 million.
(2) The number of live births per the United States Department of Health and Human Services from 1973 to 2006 (years 2001-2006 were estimated) is 123 million.
(3) Using those two numbers, 28% of all pregnancies in the United States excluding natural miscarriages end in abortion.
(4) At current rates, an estimated 43% of American women will have at least one abortion by the age of 45.
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. God is the creator of life God creates and fashions life within the womb." (Ps. 139:13-16)
National Sanctity of Human Life Day, 2007
A Proclamation by the President of the United States of America
America was founded on the principle that we are all endowed by our Creator with the right to life and that every individual has dignity and worth. National Sanctity of Human Life Day helps foster a culture of life and reinforces our commitment to building a compassionate society that respects the value of every human being.
Among the most basic duties of Government is to defend the unalienable right to life, and my Administration is committed to protecting our society's most vulnerable members. We are vigorously promoting parental notification laws, adoption, abstinence education, crisis pregnancy programs, and the vital work of faith-based groups. Through the "Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002," the "Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003," and the "Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004," we are helping to make our country a more hopeful place.
National Sanctity of Human Life Day serves as a reminder that we must value human life in all forms, not just those considered healthy, wanted, or convenient. Together, we can work toward a day when the dignity and humanity of every person is respected.

MARCH FOR LIFE
MONDAY, JANUARY 22, 2007
The March for Life 2007 theme is "Thou Shalt Protect the Equal Right to Life of Each Innocent Human in Existence at Fertilization No Exception! No Compromise!" Like last year, the March will begin promptly at noon with a Rally on the Mall, the large park on the west side of the Capitol. After the rally, we will March for Life along Constitution Avenue to remind public officials, media and all of America of the evils of abortion.
We will end our March at Capitol Hill. There, we will pray in front of the Supreme Court and visit our Senate and House Members. For more information, click here.
Please pray for the safety of each individual who will be participating in the March for Life and for all the churches around the nation who will be traveling to the Capital. Lift up all the workers who are organizing the March. Intercede for our President, Supreme Court Justices, Congressmen, and other lawmakers who daily make decisions regarding the sanctity of life that they will have wisdom and a deep appreciation for human life.
