A Lesson from Job

Tuesday, January 09, 2007

"And make the Almighty your gold and the Lord your precious silver treasure, Then you will have delight in the Almighty, and you will lift up your face to God. You will make your prayer to Him, and He will hear you, and you will pay your vows. You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God's favor] shall shine upon your ways. When they make you low, you will say, There is a lifting up; and the humble person He lifts up and saves. He will even deliver the one [for whom you intercede] who is not innocent; yes, he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands." (Job 22:25-30, The Amplified Bible)

Job was under a different period of time in the bible before Jesus died and rose from the dead. We have a much better covenant and oh what a great salvation we have.

Through the Lord's servant, Job, it is a good lesson for us condidering the time Job lived to
see how to have the righteousness of the Lord when we go through tests and trials.

Jesus showed us how to stand and be victorious on earth when he lived here and by our reading and believing in God's word we will do as He did too. By enduring these tests and trials in a manner pleasing to the Lord with our faith & belief in God and his word, repentance, prayer, worship we can become more & more like Jesus who always won.

The world is needy in this 21st Century and it needs to see God through the Jesus in us. We can be intercessors with the heart of the Lord for mankind who need Jesus when we endure the tests and trials we go through to victory as God's servant, Job did in the bible time when he lived.

It was the Lord Himself Who brought Job to the attention of the enemy for the purpose of testing the level of Job's faithfulness to God. God knew Job would stand and be victorious I get in me as God knows all things. Anyway, prior to this time of tests and trials, the Lord provided a hedge of protection around Job. Yet when God removed this hedge of protection, He was able to reveal to Job and all the earth what a great God He was.

God sustained Job all through great opposition. This reminds me of how God sustained me when He wrapped me in a cocoon of His Love while His hedge of protection seemed removed but was not removed from me at a period of time in my life when God showed me how much he loved me and healed me when I needed a miracle.

In 1994 the doctors told me I had a serious code of cancer. It was much like Job's standing in faith in His God through the loss of his children, boils, and plagues that were his lot for a period of several months. I had to trust God when cancer filled my entire uterus. I ran to God's Word, believed what I read and stood in faith that God would heal me despite the doctors reports.

We all are to stand in faith while trusting God, not looking at what's happening, but looking to His word and our prayer in faith believing and trusting Him to be our Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Nissi and all else that He is for us, when the tests come and we feel God has removed Himself from us - we need to know he is closer then ever to us and GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE US NOR FORSAKE US.

Job's righteousness became known throughout the earth and the heavenlies when he stood in faith, believing his God was with him against great opposition. Job came to that place of honor and authority as he overcame the fear he held for years before for his family who did not live for God as they should have and Job daily offered sacrifices for his family in fear for them. After Job was set free by God from the enemies torment he was more then ever able to worship God and intercede as God's intercessor more effectively for those to whom he was called.

When we intercessors/believers go through the tests and trials the enemy brings to get us to quit we will come forth as pure gold.
Because the things that kept us from seeing the heart of Jesus are removed and we become changed -- only then can we really be trusted with the secrets of God to pray for those He loves. God loves all his creation and wants them saved and set free. We are called a friend of God. The more our tests and trials lead us into righteous love lives, the more we will live a repentant, obedient life in God's word worshipping God while we revently fear Him. We will find the time to be praying even for the most unlovely in this world and note how much compassion we have for those whom we pray and believe that the will of God will be done on earth as it is done in heaven for them.

Intercessors, Job prayed for his friends who had spoken up so terribly about him. It takes the heart of Jesus to pray for your enemies who do harm to you, doesn't it? This is what we are to do, scriptures say, as we go through our "temporary" tests and trials -- so we can come forth as pure gold. Many of us worshippers/intercessors/believers have been going through much persecution, infirmities, and other things as the enemy would want to stop our prayers & growth in the things of God.

Recently I cried out to God about what was happening to me because I felt so whipped. Do you know what He replied to my tears? He said He knew. The peace of God seemed to fill me as that peace of Jesus that surpasses all understanding does fill us when we stand in faith and love doing all we know to do and trust God.

If we are to be holy with hearts of love and compassion, we must go through whatever it takes to come to the place where nothing the enemy tosses our way makes any difference as we go about our business of service to the Lord while telling the devil to READ THE SOLES OF OUR FEET that tell him where he is headed.

Today unlike the time Job lived under a different covenant before Jesus paid the price for man we are MORE THAN CONQUORS. Let the JOY OF THE LORD FILL YOU AND LIVE A HAPPY, HILARIOUS LIFE OF LOVE AND FAITH - BELIEVE AND IT SHALL BE A PROSPEROUS LIFE AND A FUN LIFE WITH JESUS RIGHT HERE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.

In Job's divine encounter, he was able to see the Lord as He is and discover his own defects. By this revelation he was enabled to be girded with God's strength, for Job said that he had heard of God by the hearing of his ear, but now Job's eyes saw God. When he saw God, he repented in dust and ashes.

TODAY WE HAVE A BETTER COVENANT AND AS WE GUARD OUR HEARTS AND STAY INTO REPENTANTANCE-GOD'S WORD-PRAYER-LOVE-JOY-WORSHIP OF GOD LIVING OUR LIFE BEING REFRESHED IN THE RIVER OF GOD WITH LIFE IN THE GLORY OF GOD WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS AND HAVE AN EAR TO HEAR HOLY SPIRIT LEADING US ALL THE WAY TO LIFE ETERNAL WITH GOD.

"If you return to the Almighty [and submit and humble yourself before Him],you will be built up; if you put away unrighteousness far from your tents, If you lay gold in the dust, and the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brook {considering them of little worth], And make the Almighty your gold and the Lord your precious silver treasure, Then you will have delight in the Almighty, and you will lift up your face to God. (Job 22:23-26, The Amplified Bible)

"Receive, I pray you, the law and instruction from His mouth and lay up His words in your heart." (Job 22:22, The Amplified Bible)

"Acquaint now yourself with Him [agree with God and show yourself to be conformed to His will] and be at peace; by that [you shall prosper and great] good shall come to you." (Job 22:21, The Amplified Bible)

Beloved, I pray the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

Blessings,
Joan Ann
